Julie Babbage Laungani

Managing Partner

As managing partner, Julie guides the firm and touches each industry within the wide collection of company causes. Her work centers on driving consensus among key leaders in Kentucky, DC, and across America, working collaboratively to achieve results.

Julie manages multiple client accounts and heads the association management and public relations portfolio at Babbage Cofounder, work that spans all 50 states and DC.

A native of Lexington, Kentucky, Julie has enjoyed a lifelong front row seat in politics. Her earliest memories are of her dad’s campaign for Governor, and she has been interested in government ever since. Her experience in the political arena began through internships, including with Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell.

Julie graduated Vanderbilt University with Honors, where she studied International Business, Human Development, Philosophy, and Spanish. During college, Julie won a prestigious semester-long internship at the U.S. Embassy in London as Intern to the Ambassador.

Upon graduating, Julie joined Deloitte as a Business Analyst in the Washington D.C. federal practice. There, she coordinated organizational transformation at government agencies, overseeing strategic change initiatives that in one instance included successfully mobilizing employees for participation in the largest transition in the agency’s history.

Following in her father’s footsteps, Julie joined Babbage Cofounder where she tirelessly advocates for causes and leads coalition efforts in Kentucky and nationwide. One notable example is her work as Executive Director of the Diabetes Patient Advocacy Coalition. Under Julie's leadership, the group boasts significant wins on drug affordability in both the Biden and Trump Administrations. Julie was invited to the White House for then-President Trump's signing of an executive order on insulin access.

In 2022, Julie was recognized as one of seven "Emerging Power Brokers" in Frankfort by Kentucky Fried Politics. She has been named multiple times on the annual list of Notable Women in Kentucky Politics and Government by the Kentucky Gazette. Julie resides in Louisville with her family and serves in several volunteer capacities, including on the board of the Louisville Zoo.
